fished today from 9:00am to 5:00pm on a great wild stream.
The air temp started cold around 42 deg, but by noon it was near 55.
The water temp was right at 44, the water was very clear.

I fished the morning with #16 HEN and did pretty well in the pools. The rainbows and browns were very aggressive. Later in the day around 1:00pm, a good hatch of BWO, and lighter colored flies started, size 16, then larger size 14. The hatch lasted until 4:00pm and the fish were eagerly taking them. I used a #16 Adams and the action was good all afternoon. The rainbows are in there spawn colors. I snapped a quick picture of this male rainbow and released him quickly.

It was a great day to be out on the water
The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
