For weird tailwater specialists, maybe --

Winston 9' 5 weight two-piece rod from 1982. 2 3/4 ounces. Serial # 7074.
First generation graphite. It casts much better nowadays with a 2 or 3 weight, since it is so light and slow. Excellent condition. The rod has basically been in the tube since 1985. It's spotless except for slight cork darkening. $175. If you don't like it, I'll give you your money back (less shipping back to me).
I don't do pay pal. If you are interested, PM me for further details.

I have a buyer, it seems,  unless some collector wants to offer me an insane price.  /'/

<edit> The rod is sold. Smokin Hog, you got a good deal.

It caught a lot of fish in Montana and the Watauga tailwater in the early 1980's. It was my pride and joy. It's been sitting in my closet for years
Bo Cash said I could get twice that from Winston collectors, but I figure it's time to turn it over to a young gun that will actually fish it.  ;D

I would have sold it to TM for $375 + shipping.

Actually, TM -- I thought long and hard about it. I'm selling it for almost half price to an eager young gun who wants it bad and will fish it. The young guys are the future of fly fishing.

A month later, I'm disappointed. I saw the rod immediately posted for sale on the Drake as "Mint Winston rod for sale or trade." I thought I was selling it for a loss to someone who would fish it, not someone (who assured me that they were gonna fish it),  then flipped it for a profit.  Live and learn, I guess....

Fucking snake. If that egg-sucking dawg had any home training or a lick of class he would have done the right thing and either sold it back to you or get it in the hands of someone like you intended.
What a cretin.
I just hope he knows that what he did was just plain wrong.

Damn that's a dick move. I'd love to have a rod like that..in fact, I might consider even giving up my left nut for that gem. Sorry Phil  ???
