it's be interesting to know if that sediment will impact hatches this spring. That might be a Mudwall question.

last year I questioned what harm the free flow release or sluicing was doing.

I've turned over a lot of rocks.

You used "epic" and continue to reel like a girl.  I ain't trusting anything you say!

"Most female anglers are forced to reel or wind with their dominant hand, while males are more disposed to use their non-dominant in any winding motion. ....................................
.......... While studying non-human primates in the laboratory, Dr. Jonathan Alexander noted the mixed-handedness (the change of hand preference between tasks) of male apes.  Compelling study results and scientific curiosity impelled his research team to explore the handedness of humans in commonplace tasks."

You are so easily trolled. Epic.

But, for real, get your sorry entomologist ass down there and evaluate.
Take  a fly rod, dick.

I miss the Smith.  Truth be known, I miss the free time I had when I was working at VT.  The wife and her wondering-project-mind are killing my retirement!  Fuck HGTV and Pinterest!!!!!

650? There are running 350 now.  Just want to make sure that wasn't a typo.
I think that's the gauge with the issue.

I'm somber because Mary Tyler Moore died today.

meanwhile, I have a bug net and specimen vials I want to put to good use this spring and summer.

me -There's a season?

Must have spun the bearings off, from spinning so fast.

That sediment should increase minerals-->increase bacteria-->increase bugs-->grow some punes

Agree?

Well...yet to be seen. Minerals are easy. Organic matter fuels the system.  If it holds nutrients for the bugs, yes.
Not? No. Just one more hindrance for spawners.

I'd say yes, but how smothered in sediment could a larva or nymph be before it dies?

segue: I know this crick... it's literally full of shit.

insect abundance and diversity is unbelievable.

last time I fished it there were Ephemerella spp., the green type, in huge abundance. Average size was comparable to a size 16, maybe 14 BWO.

Shit works

A low producing spawn would be a good thing. Too many small fish up there and not enough food.
