A little intro
« on: January 30, 2012, 12:46:16 PM »
Not sure how I have over looked this forum, more trip reports in a weekend then others have in a month and with Fugging Pics. bd;0

Well jumped over mainly to see how bad Tranny killed his Orvis broomstick, then started surfing and spent a few hours last night reading reports and BS.  Its good to see some of the names on here I had not seen in a while on another board.

So for my intro as if it matters or anyone cares,
Im 26 and live in Statesville Nc with my wife (Amy the taxidermist) and little girl (Lily the hell raiser) almost 2.  I havnt been on the water in a while, either working, watching the kid, working on the house in the mountains, or building rods.  We bought a shack in Ashe county on Big Horse Creak last year, trying to get power to it and make it more campable.  2 bedroom, living room, kitchen, and outhouse.  Right now its in rough shape, but has a new porch that got us busted with inspection dept and the close to complete power locked out.  Come up and stay the night, fish, eat, drink, go to town for music, drink, sleep and repeat.  I work in a Medical implant CNC shop, we make stuff to put people back together (not joints just plates of all kinds).  So hope to get up with some of you guys to fish and hope to spend every warm weekend in Ashe or surrounding areas fishing and having a damn good time.  I have to get as much in before the end July because theres another little one on the way.

Here are a few photos that help explain life I guess,
The biggest fish,

I am sure that you have figured out that Big Horse is one of the best creeks in the entire state of N.C. :D

If you have not fished it much, say so and I will give you the right bugs selection for that creek.

Welcome to the board.

I dunno whether to welcome you or say shut the fucking door already! Good to see you "active" here Robby. Low rent district is where it's at. I'll give you a holler sometime soon, one of the hounds attended the vet today and the wife already gave me a heads-up that we're looking at several hundred to have her ear "fixed". Fucking bills mang...

Big horse is a good fish. They lengthened the wild waters. I love the upper section. Bug ideas are always great  yeah the view is great except for weekends when you never wet a line just a paintbrush.  It's soothing to listen to sleeping off a drunk. Mike I hear ya let me know, I will hook ya up. The cost is in the name blanks bro.  I have steered from the big names and trying different ones.  We have the cheapest pets, the kind filed with foam that don't eat anything.

Nice cabin. With a little work it could be really really nice. New roof and siding would go a long way, but that would probably be a pretty penny. Check out http://freecabinporn.com/ for some inspiration. My dream is to design and build a small cabin along the banks of prime brookie waters. Welcome to the low rent. How much you charge for rods?

Contact me per pm. Not sure if it's legal to post up my rods info or not. Other forums don't like it
