Stuck in Germany

I'm stuck in Germany for a couple more days by myself. I escorted one of our wounded soldier up here and I'm waiting for a flight back. You'd think that would be and easy thing with as many plane coming and going, but it's not. I'd LOVE to go fishing, but it's not that easy either. Every piece of water here is OWNED by someone, or the rights to fish are. You have to take a lengthy test for a fishing license and then FIND someone who will let you (or sell you ) rights to fish. It's kinda wierd and the rules differ for military . I did get to get out and see some of the country. I like this one much better than the place I just came from!!! Anyway, I cant wait to get home, see the wife for a few minutes (that's all it's gunna take!) and grab my waders and rod to hit the SoHo! You guys are killin me with all the pictures! Keep em coming though. I think I'm gunna go grab a beer! 0--0

Chuck,
I am assuming your at Ramstein, or near there. I have family in Mittenwald, Passau and Dusseldorf. The better fishing is around Mittenwald, and Passau.
If you get get a couple of days off, I can call my cousin, and see if he can hook you up.

Yeah, I cant drink beer! UCMJ actions if caught. I get to sit aroung watching TV that I dont understand.LOL I did get out and eat some pretty good food. It would have been better with beer though. I'll fly out in a couple days. I was waiting to see if my wife needed me at home. Her mother passed away last evening. I guess I'll go back to Afghanistan. She wants me to come home in June. I guess she has plans. Germany is a beautiful country. I'm planning on coming back with her after this war is over.
