World Class Trout Manufacturing

The refurbished hatchery in Bath County has begun receiving fish. They expect to produce/stock over 600,000 trout per year. Expectations are that the entire state trout hatchery system will be able to concentrate on raising and releasing larger fish in the future.
I realize that for some of the purists out there that fishing for stockers is beneath you , but for the majority of folks that fish for trout in Virginia, this is a good thing. 0--0

Agreed.The more stockers on the main creeks leaves the bluelines open for pillage for us wild trout junkies

Holy cow, that trout is ripped!  Bet they're a hell of a fight with all that extra muscle.  Almost as freaky as the Cherokee goldfish.
