Cades Cove: The Live and Death of A Southern Appalachian Community
« on: September 13, 2005, 23:25:35 PM »
Most of us think of Cades Cove as a busy bottlenecked road that we drive to get to Abrams Creek.
We gaze across the open fields and look at the hoses, curches and graveyards. Yet it is hard to get a feel for what life must have been like befoe tht park service took over.

Cades Cove: The Live and Death of A Southern Appalachian Community 1818 - 1937 gives a look into the lives of the people who settled the land, developed it as a thriving but isolated mountain community.
