Midge Magic
« on: April 11, 2008, 20:49:28 PM »
I just picked up a copy of Midge Magic, by Don Holbrook & Ed Koch.

It's an interesting read on the origins of midge fishing in Pennsylvania.
It covers the basic topics including gear, leaders and tippets. But perhaps the most informative sections are the patterns and the actual specimens photographed together. I found this to be very interesting, and easy to read.

The material selection is very comprehensive, as well. The hooks and sizes are clearly identified.

I would recommend this book for all interested in fishing midge patterns.
The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
