An Environmental History of the Highest Peaks in Eastern America

by Tim Silver

UNC Press; Softcover; ISBN: 0-8078-5423-9; $19.95

A couple of weeks ago Tim was the guest speaker at our Table Rock TU meeting. He gave an excellent presentation, reading excerpts from his book and discussing it with us afterwords..... a nice meeting.

I'm about a quarter of the way through the book now and can already give it a thumbs-up. Well-researched and well-written, Tim evokes a grandeur for the region and his connection with the legend and lore is fascinating reading.

I hope to finish it this weekend..... well worth the read!!!!
