Holston River Smallies

Here are a couple of Holston River Smallies from a recent guided float trip. It was a hot day but as you can see the young man was all smiles after fighting and landing his fish.

I love that river, some fine smallies in there. How was the eel grass?

It is still pretty thick, especially down low. It is starting to die and big clumps were floating downstream and hanging in the downfalls.

I want to get back over there next spring before it gets so thick. I broke 2 rods on the stuff back in August. . .
